Leaks & General Repairs
Damp patch on the ceiling, drip in the loft, a bucket on the landing. We trace the water back to where it's actually getting in, which is often not directly above the stain.
Stop overpaying for roofing.
Plenty of homeowners get a roofing quote, gasp, and leave a leak alone for another winter. That's the problem we set out to fix. Affordable roof repairs don't have to mean cut corners. We find the actual cause, fix that, and charge a fair price for it. No upselling a new roof when three tiles and some fresh mortar will do.
Most calls we get are about a single problem - a leak, a few tiles, a gutter overflowing onto the path. We're happy to take those on. We also handle the bigger jobs when a roof has reached the end of its life.

Tiles lifted, ridge loosened, a section of felt flapping about. We make it watertight first, then give you a proper price for the permanent fix.
One slipped tile lets rain straight onto the batten below. Usually a quick job, and much cheaper done now than after a winter of water getting underneath.
Cracked flaunching, crumbling pointing and tired lead flashing are some of the most common leak sources we see. Repointing, new lead and chimney capping all covered.
Blocked or sagging gutters push water back under the roofline and down the walls. Clearing, re-aligning, and replacing rotten timber fascias with uPVC.
When patching stops making sense, we'll say so. Felt, EPDM rubber and full pitched re-roofs with new breathable membrane, battens and tiles or slates.
Roofs rarely fail all at once. They give small warnings first, and catching them early is the single best way to keep the bill down.
Usually water that has run along a rafter or joist before dropping, so the real hole can be a metre or two away.
Worth a look with a torch on the next wet day. Check the underside of the felt for dark wet streaks.
If you can see it from inside, rain can get in the same way. Broken tiles and perished felt are the usual culprits.
Stepped cracks and loose mortar let damp track down the stack into the rooms below.
Inspections, repairs and re-roofs, straight off our phones.
Look from the ground, not a ladder. Missing or slipped tiles, a loose ridge, bent guttering or bits of roof in the garden all tell us a lot.
Check the loft. Wet insulation, daylight or drips mean water is already getting in.
Take photos. Useful for us and for any insurance claim you decide to make.
Call us early. A few loose tiles fixed this week is a far smaller job than a soaked ceiling next month.
Four steps, no surprises, and nothing starts until you've agreed the price.
Tell us roughly what's going on. A photo helps if you can grab one safely from the ground.
From the ground, the loft, or a ladder as needed. We'll show you photos of anything we find.
What needs doing, what it costs and roughly how long. If a cheaper fix will genuinely do, that's the one we'll recommend.
Old tiles, felt and mortar taken away, gutters left clear, and a walk round with you before we leave.
The cheapest quote is often the one that gets redone a year later. We keep prices down by working efficiently. Skipping the membrane or reusing cracked tiles isn't part of it.
It depends on access and what's wrong. Replacing a few slipped tiles that can be reached from a ladder is a small job, while anything needing scaffold, new lead or a section of felt costs more. We give you a written price after seeing the roof, and that price doesn't creep up once we've started unless you ask for extra work.
No. Looking at the roof and giving you a price is free, and there's no obligation to go ahead.
Yes. After bad weather we prioritise roofs that are letting water in. The first visit is about making it weathertight, and we'll price the permanent repair separately so you're not pushed into a big decision on the spot.
If a repair will do the job properly, we'll recommend the repair. A new roof only makes sense when the tiles, battens or felt are worn out across the whole slope, and in that case we'll show you why.
Yes - flat roofs over extensions, garages and dormers, as well as pitched tile and slate roofs, chimneys, leadwork and guttering.
Put a bucket down, move anything valuable out of the way and, if water is near a light fitting, switch that circuit off at the consumer unit. Don't go up on the roof yourself. Then give us a ring.
Tell us what's going on with your roof and we'll give you a straight answer and a fair, written price. Rather talk? Ring 07727 419452 or email [email protected].
